King Salman visits crane crash scene at Haram, injured pilgrims in hospital

Makkah, (IINA) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman visited on Saturday evening the Grand Mosque in Makkah to inspect the damage caused by Friday's massive crane crash that resulted in the death of at least 107, SPA reported.
Upon his arrival, the King was received by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah Region, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif, Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, and a number of senior officials. The King visited the scene of the crash.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, King Salman said: "My visit today is to check what had happened and know how we can renovate the site again. We will investigate the causes of the accident and then announce the results to the public.'
King Salman offered his condolence to the families of the martyrs, praying that Allah bestows His mercy upon them and wishing the injured quick recovery.
King Salman stressed that the Kingdom exerts all efforts to serve the two holy mosques. "All the Saudi leaders are honored to serve these mosques, ever since the period of the Kingdom's founder late King Abdulaziz until to date. Makkah and Madinah are important to us than anything else in the world."
King Salman also visited Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Makkah where he was reassured of the health of the injured pilgrims who belong to different nationalities, including Iranian, Turkish, Afghan, Egyptian and Pakistani. He also ordered to provide all health care services to them, praying to Allah for their speedy recovery.
