 Cairo, (IINA) - The Arab League Council held on Wednesday its 144th regular session at the level of permanent representatives. The agenda of the session includes discussion of Arab joint work at the political and economic realms as well as social issues in preparation for submission to the ministerial level meeting of the council scheduled to be held on Sunday, news agencies reported.
Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmad Qattan, who is also dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps and the Kingdom's permanent representative to the Arab League, heading the Saudi delegation in the meeting.
The UAE delegation to the session was headed by UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
The meeting discussed proposed topics to be discussed on Sunday's meeting, including developments in Palestine, Yemen and Libya, as well as issues related to Iranian intervention in neighboring countries' affairs, counter-terrorism efforts, Arab-European cooperation and Arab-Turkish cooperation.
