Cairo (IINA) – Arab foreign ministers reiterated that the cause of Palestine, especially the Arab identity of occupied East Jerusalem, the capital of Palestinian State, is the core of issues for the Arab nation as a whole, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
This came in a decision taken at the end of a regular session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held here on Sunday.
In the decision, the ministers stressed that a just and comprehensive peace is the strategic option and that the peace process is a comprehensive process that cannot be fragmented.
They added that peace, stability and security cannot be achieved in the region except through ending the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian and Arab territories, including the occupied Syrian Arab Golan to the 4th of June 1967 line, and territories that are still under Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon.
With regard to the Yemeni conflict, the ministers reiterated unconditional and full support for the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen, represented by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi. They also expressed full support for the military actions carried out by the Arab coalition forces.
The ministers strongly condemned the treacherous targeting of one of the Arab coalition camps in Yemen by the Houthi rebel militias, and expressed their heartfelt condolence to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain over the death of scores of soldiers while performing their duty in Yemen.
