Albania opens first mixed frequency monitoring station

Kruje, Albania (IINA) - Albania's Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (Akep) has opened the first mixed frequency monitoring station, located at the premises of the Regional Centre in Kruje, Telecompaper news reported.
From this location, it is possible to cover an area 70 km around the capital Tirana, including the international airport of Rinas. This station was built as part of the national project to set up a system for monitoring the frequency spectrum, created in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
