$32.5 million French grant to support Palestine

Paris, (IINA) - France has signed 4 grant agreements with the State of Palestine in order to support the latter, the agreements were signed during a ministerial meeting between the two in Paris on Thursday.
The French Finance Minister signed the first agreement worth $9 million with the Palestinian Minister of Finance and Planning Shukri Bishara in order to support the Palestinian general budget.
The second agreement worth $11.2 million was signed between the Palestinian Minister of Local Government and the French Foreign Minister and his colleague the Executive Director of the French Development Agency to support the construction of the sewage network in Hebron in order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by the sewage.
The third agreement, signed between the French Minister of Finance and his Palestinian counterpart, was worth $5.6 million and it is to support the Palestinian private sector, with priority given to projects held in Bethlehem industrial zone.
Bishara also signed the fourth agreement worth $6.7 million with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and his colleague the Executive Director of the French Development Agency in order to support the 2nd phase of the Municipal Development and Lending Fund.
Minister Bishara and expressed his gratitude to the French government for its support, he also stressed out that this support will contribute to providing the basic needs and services to the citizens of Palestine.
