Pakistan calls for UN, OIC coordination to resolve conflict in Middle East

Islamabad, (IINA) - Pakistan stressed the need for coordination between the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in order to solve the disputes and conflicts in the Middle East.
Maliha Lodhi, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, stated that the regional organizations have an important role to play in resolving the contemporary issues, noting at the time that the UN must coordinate with the OIC in order to resolve the current conflicts in the Middle East, especially in the field of humanitarian relief, according to SPA.
In the same context, Lodhi emphasized the need for political and diplomatic efforts to resolve the regional conflicts.
