Islam is a religion of peace, cleanliness: Egypt's minister

Sunday 30 Aug 2015 - 10:46 Makkah mean time-15-11-1436 Egypt's Awqaf Minister Mohammad Mokhtar Gomaa Cairo, (IINA) - Egypt's Minister of Religious Endowments Mohammad Mokhtar Gomaa underlined that Islam is the religion of civilization and cleanliness, Egypt State Information Service reported. In his Friday sermon, Gomaa emphasized that Islam bans polluting the environment and calls for cleanliness. He also noted that Islam is a religion of peace and security, stressing that terrorist groups that claim to act under the cloak of Islam have tarnished the image of religion in front of the world.  SM/IINA
