ISESCO Director General Dr Abdulaziz Altwaijri

Rabat, (IINA) - The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) condemned the latest atrocity perpetrated by Daesh terrorists in the ancient Syrian town of Palmyra, where Syrian archaeologist Khaled Al-Asaad was beheaded recently and his corpse hung on a Roman column in the town’s main square.
In a statement,, ISESCO Director General Dr Abdulaziz Altwaijri rejected as a sordid and revolting crime the killing of a famed archaeology expert who devoted his life to promoting and protecting Palmyra’s ancient treasures, considering it further proof that the so-called ISIS is but a terror organization departing from the magnanimous precepts of Islam.
He also called on the international community to take a firm stand against this terrorist organization that presents an enormous threat to world peace and security.
