Gaza (IINA) – Head of the International Red Cross mission in the Gaza Strip Mamadou Su said the deadlock in the reconstruction of the enclave, in the wake of last summer’s Israeli aggression, constitutes a "big zero", but he refused to refer directly to the involvement of Israel in doing so.
"When someone asks me about the status of Gaza reconstruction, I usually give the big zero answer, as it represents the true reality of this rigid process," said Su in a press statement, commenting on the 1st anniversary of Israeli onslaught on Gaza.
"This zero symbolizes the number of houses rebuilt after the aggression, which has left thousands of victims waiting for their fate,” he added.
Su pointed out that the humanitarian situation in the Strip is witnessing steady deterioration, criticizing many international relief organizations that do not offer their services as required.
