Rabat, (IINA) - A Moroccan schoolboy has designed a new app that protects cell phones in case of theft and allows users to find their phone when it goes missing, Morocco World News reported.
The teen who is called Hamza Amama, created an app that delivers an electric shock to a potential thief holding the phone, by a remote control.
The 17 year old, who will graduate from high school next year, said the app can also help users get their phone back in the event of theft. The app keeps the tracking (GPS) active even when the phone’s battery is removed.
Speaking to Hespress, Hamza stated that he had the idea a few months ago, after his best friend was assaulted and had his phone robbed from him.
“Smart phones can be so expensive and hold a summary of our lives and personal content digitally. I invented this app so as to provide protection to smart phones from theft or loss,” he specified.
This bright student goes on to add that he hopes his new app will receive interest, and find its way to the market in the near future.
