Manama, (IINA) - Bahraini Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla received Wednesday the Ambassador of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Chilman Arisman, BNA reported.
Al Mulla during the meeting stressed the importance of supporting joint Asian projects in vital fields, investing in energy resources to boost cooperation, increasing the volume of trade exchange and benefitting from mutual expertise in various domains.
He noted that the upcoming period will see more parliamentary cooperation between the Council of Representatives and its counterpart in Indonesia and exploration of coordination of stances at international parliamentary functions to serve the interest of both countries and peoples.
The two sides explored the outcome of the Asian-African Parliamentary Declaration "Towards stronger partnership to achieve international peace and prosperity" in which a Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Al Mullah participated in Indonesia last April.
The Speaker affirmed the Council's support to all efforts and works of the Indonesian Ambassador to serve and boost the bilateral ties and interests.
On the other side, Al Mullah has expressed sincere condolences and sympathy on the victims of the military aircraft, reiterating the Kingdom of Bahrain's solidarity with Indonesia, wishing it further growth, development, stability and security.
