Baku (IINA) – Travelling to Azerbaijan can be expected to be easier for Malaysians, tentatively by the year-end, as there is possibility for the Azeri government to reciprocate Malaysia's gesture of offering 30-day free visa to Azerbaijanis, BERNAMA reported Sunday.
Malaysian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Roslan Abdul Rahman said the proposal paper was already up and the negotiation is underway between the relevant authorities of the interior ministries of both countries.
"Visa-free for Malaysians to visit Azerbaijan probably can be achieved by the end of this year or the latest by next year," he told BERNAMA.
Roslan said the people of Azerbaijan could come to Malaysia anytime as Malaysia has decided to grant them a visa-free facility for 30 days.
"Now we are working towards enabling Malaysians to be able to visit Azerbaijan visa-free," he added.
