GCC countries express appreciation of UNSC resolution on Yemen

Wednesday 15 Apr 2015 - 10:35 Makkah mean time-26-6-1436 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states Riyadh (IINA) – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states expressed deep appreciation for adoption of resolution no. 2216 on Yemen's rebels by the UN Security Council, under Chapter VII of the UN Charter. GCC considered that the adoption of the resolution as a clear and strong message, expressing the unity of the international community in supporting the legitimate government of Yemen and defending its brotherly people. GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani called on all Yemeni parties to respond to the appeals of the international community and abide by the implementation of the Security Council resolutions.
