Khartoum (IINA) – Some 152 Sudanese nationals, who had been evacuated from Yemen, arrived home on Thursday after being transported by land to Saudi Arabia and then they were flown to Khartoum on board Saudi Arabian Airline flight.

State Minister at the Cabinet Jamal Mahmoud said in a press statement that the government will continue its efforts to evacuate the Sudanese citizens from Yemen, whose number exceeds 4,000. He noted that the slow work of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the evacuation process has led to evacuating the citizens by land to Saudi Arabia.

Secretary General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) Osman Jaafar said that the Society has completed preparations for the provision of services for the returnees, including first aid and shelter camp.
