Thursday 19 Mar 2015 - 16:30 Makkah mean time-28-5-1436 Jordanian King, Arab parliament speaker discuss developments region, counter-terrorism efforts (Image from Petra news ) Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian King Abdullah discussed on Wednesday here, with Arab Parliament Speaker, Ahmad al-Jarwan the latest developments in the region and counter- terrorism efforts, Petra news reported. During the meeting which was hold at Al Husseiniya Palace, Abdullah congratulated Al-Jarwan on his re-election for a new term as the Arab parliament speaker, stressing the need to boost efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israelis, in order to reach an independent Palestinian state within a just and comprehensive solution. The King and Al-Jarwan also discussed during the meeting the current situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya. SM/IINA
