Gold steady above $1,200 amid worries over Greece

Singapore (IINA) – Gold prices surged above US$ 1,200 an ounce on Tuesday, as tumbling global stocks and concerns over Greece's future in the euro zone prompted investors to seek safety in the precious metal, Libyan News Agency (WAL) reported.

Gold for immediate delivery advanced as much as 0.2 percent to $ 1,207.80 an ounce by 04:15 GMT, adding to the previous session's 1.3-percent gain.
