Al-Bashir affirms Sudan's keenness to support security, stability in CAR

Khartoum (IINA) – Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir affirmed his country's keenness to support security, stability and development in the Central African Republic (CAR), and expressed appreciation of the historic relations and the cooperation between the two countries, Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
This came when he received here on Sunday, CAR’s president-elect Faustin-Archange Touadera, who was on a visit to Sudan.
In a statement to SUNA, Foreign Minister Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour said the meeting underlined that the security, stability and development of CAR are closely linked to security, stability and development of Sudan. He affirmed that Sudan will work to support the security, stability and development of CAR.
Ghandour explained that the president-elect said he decided to visit Sudan before taking the oath of office on March 30 due to the strong ties between the two countries, especially that two countries have signed security, political, economic and social cooperation agreements.
The foreign minister said that a high-level Sudanese delegation will participate in the inauguration of CAR's president-elect Faustin-Archange.
