UAE, Singapore stress the importance of expanding economic relations

Singapore, (IINA) - The UAE’s Ministry of Economy organized a round-table meeting on Tuesday between executive directors of 15 of the biggest investment companies in Singapore to promote trade and investment, WAM reported.
The meeting reviewed the importance of expanding economic relations between the UAE and the Republic of Singapore and the need to promote trade and investment establish strong strategic partnerships between the two countries.
The UAE side in the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of Singapore Business Federation, was chaired by Abdullah Al-Saleh, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry, with the Singaporean side was headed by Zahidi Abdul Rahman, Vice Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation.
In a speech during the meeting, Al-Saleh said that the UAE is ready to provide all necessary measures to establish successful partnerships with the Singaporean side, stressing that Singapore is of economic importance to the UAE.
In a related context, a 35-member trade and investment mission travelled to Singapore on Monday for a two-day visit for talks with senior Singaporean officials and private sector representatives on ways of increasing trade exchange and forging a vibrant joint strategic investment partnership between the two nations.
The meeting touched on the various business opportunities in the framework of joint cooperation and ways to facilitate the establishment of joint investment projects between the private sectors of both sides and to overcome any obstacles in this regard.
