Cairo, (IINA) - UAE’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. General Hamad Al-Rumaithi met with Egypt's Minister of Defense and Military Production Lt. General Sedki Sobhi and the Chief of Staff of Armed Forces Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy, WAM reported.
During the meetings, they discussed cooperation between the two countries especially in the military field, fighting terrorism, and restoring security and stability in the Middle East region.
While meeting with Egypt’s Minister of Defense, Al-Rumaithi praised the efforts of the Egyptian Armed Forces, saying they lay the foundations of security and stability in the region.
They also tackled the joint visions and efforts towards various issues regarding the strategic partnership ties and collaboration between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Hegazy confirmed the Egyptian Armed Forces' keenness on enhancing cooperation in domains and pillars of the Arab common action to address the current challenges that represent a threat to the peoples of the region. He also highlighted the robust and strategic Egyptian-UAE ties in many fields.
On his part, the Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces hailed the UAE-Egyptian military cooperation and continued coordination to combat various risks and threats faced by the region.
