Texas, (IINA) - A group of Muslim women in North Texas is working to fight racial prejudice against Muslims and Islam, NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (NBCDFW) news reported.
On Sunday in Allen, the women in the Muslim community Dallas hosted nearly 200 women for a question and answer session on the topic.
The session was part of The True Islam and the Extremists campaign, which aims to educate Americans and Muslim Americans on the peaceful, anti-extremist teachings of Islam.
The female-only crowd discussed terrorism, ISIS, Women in Islam, Hijab and common misconceptions extremists use to radicalize youth.
Guest speaker Congresswoman Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson of Texas District 30 led several discussions.
