Switzerland to participate in Astana EXPO-2017

Davos, (IINA) - Kazakhstan has recently signed an agreement with Switzerland on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, allowing Switzerland’s participation in the EXPO-2017, which will be held in Astana.
According to an EXPO-2017 press release, Chairman Akhmetzhan Yessimov and Commissioner General for Swiss Pavilion at EXPO-2017 Manuel Salchli signed the agreement. 
"We are pleased that Switzerland has joined this important event. Switzerland is a country actively using alternative energy sources. Besides, today the climate is changing, and we will discuss not only the energy issues but also its impact on the environment", said Yessimov.
On his part, the Commissioner General said: "EXPO is a great opportunity for Switzerland to show its achievements in the sphere of energy efficiency and green technologies".
As of last week, 69 countries and 13 international organizations have confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017.
