Jakarta (IINA) – Indonesian police said Thursday that people affiliated to Islamic State (IS) group are probably responsible for the downtown Jakarta's bombings, according to national police spokesman Gen. Anton Charliyan. "They imitated the terror actions in Paris ... they are likely from the (Islamic State) group," he said.
Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan told reporters near the site of the explosion that five attackers and two civilians, one of them a Dutch citizen, were killed in Thursday's shooting and blasts that rocked Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the police said the attack and manhunt in a busy shopping area of downtown Jakarta has ended with five assailants confirmed dead.
