Turkmenistan sends humanitarian aid to Tajikistan after earthquake

Dushanbe, (IINA) - Turkmenistan has recently sent humanitarian goods to the earthquake-affected areas of Tajikistan, National Information Agency of Tajikistan reported.
According to the Tajikistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkmenistan has provided the humanitarian aid in the form of 1000 tons of fuel, 134 tons of wheat flour, 120 tons of vegetable oil and 120 tons of fittings for construction.
“Our countries support the further development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Tajik interstate dialogue in various fields, including cultural and humanitarian. In this regard, the Turkmen side provided assistance to the people of Tajikistan in difficult times", Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ishankul Amanliev stated.
The government of Tajikistan expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan, and the authorities have promised to deliver the aid to the affected areas as soon as possible.
