Qatar ranked top Arab country in UNDP's Human Development Report

Doha (IINA) – Qatar was ranked the top Arab country and 32nd worldwide in Human Development Report, which was released this month by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Qatar's index value jumped from 0.849 to 0.85, due to the increase of the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita from $119,029 in 2014 to $123,124 in 2015. The literacy rate for both genders improved from 96.3 percent to 96.7 percent.
Qatar came first worldwide in the workforce participation rate for people above 15 years of age, with 86.7 percent. Unemployment rate for ages 15-24 was only 1.1 percent in 2015, compared to 1.3 percent previously.
