Aden (IINA) – A new batch of Sudanese soldiers arrived Monday in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden to join the Arab coalition forces in Yemen, within the framework of the "Operation Restore Hope" in support of the legitimate government.
Sudanese Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Awad Mohamed Ahmed bin-Auf stressed, in a press statement, his country's readiness to provide further necessary support to the coalition forces in Yemen after the deployment of a number of Sudanese ground troops to the conflict-gripped country, two weeks ago.
Sudan's army spokesperson Brigadier General Ahmed Khalifa Al Shami was quoted by Al Arabiya Al Hadath News as saying earlier that the arrival of the vanguard of the Sudanese armed forces to the city of Aden comes within the framework of Sudan's commitment to participate in the "Operation Restore Hope" being carried out by the Saudi-led Arab coalition.
