Islamabad (IINA) – Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki stressed that the Muslim societies presently suffer from significant problems such as ignorance of Islam and not knowing the truth of their religion, therefore extremism and terrorism, which are falsely and slanderously attributed to Islam, have spread.
During his visit to the International Islamic University in Islamabad on Tuesday, Dr Al-Turki said "Universities must focus on this matter, to clarify the facts of Islam and qualify outstanding cadres to address these challenges, so that the true image of Islam to be shown to the world."
"The Muslim World League is ready to cooperate with the university, either in the areas of education and research or in the nomination and sponsorship of students by the League or to mediate with the concerned authorities," he said, calling for the implementation of new programs that would tackle the current problems facing Muslims.
