Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic (IINA) - Talantbek Batyraliev, Health Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, has met with the Turkish professor, Erhan Arykly to discuss investment opportunities in Kyrgyz Republic, News Agency of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Arykly heads a group of investors interested in investing in the health sector, the development of medical tourism as well as other related areas.
They discussed the challenges that face investors such as the lack of land for the construction of health facilities, the short-term rental contracts, which does not guarantee the protection of investors’ interests in long-term projects.
The Turkish investors showed willing to invest up to $5 million in laboratory and diagnostic areas in the medical sector in Kyrgyzstan.
After the meeting, both sides agreed to continue further discussions on other possible ways of cooperation and investment.
