Riyadh (IINA) - The Shoura Council of Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israeli occupation authorities’ violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on the worshipers, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Speaker of the Shoura Council Sheikh Abdullah Al-Asheikh said in a press statement that the illegal act of aggression was incompatible with all international principles, laws and legislations and violated the sanctity of religions. He appealed to the international community and all agencies, organizations and parliaments in various countries around the world, particularly in major countries and regional and international parliamentary unions to assume their responsibilities and take immediate tough action to stop Israeli violations of Islamic sites in occupied Al-Quds and exert pressure on the Israeli authorities to comply with international laws and legislations, the principles of the peace process and respect for religions.
Meanwhile, Israeli police arrested seven Palestinians, including five youths, in another day of violence sparked by tensions over the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The arrests took place in the Palestinian neighborhood of Issawiya. The arrests came after four days of Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque this week, including Friday.
