Dr Hashim Abdullah Yamani
Vienna (IINA) – President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yemani stressed that Saudi Arabia gives great importance to nuclear energy as a vital technology for many peaceful applications which benefit the Kingdom and the world, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
This came in the Kingdom's speech delivered by Dr. Yemani at the opening of the annual conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in its 59th session which kicked off on Monday at IAEA headquarters in Vienna.
Yemani drew attention to the Kingdom's aspiration to the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA) signed in Vienna by the six major world powers and Iran, demanding maximum transparency in the implementation of the agreement before the international community. He added that the agreement concerns the Middle East in particular, noting that Saudi Arabia aspires to making the Middle East a zone free of weapons of mass destruction.
