Jeddah (IINA) – The International Islamic Fiqh Academy expressed its strong irritation and growing concern over the constant attempts of groups of Zionist settlers, Israeli government ministers, soldiers and Knesset members to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the latest of which was at dawn Sunday.
The Academy said in a statement that Israel had "crossed many red lines", describing its actions as part of the actual implementation of the temporal and spatial partitioning of Al-Aqsa Mosque between Jews and Muslims, which the Zionist occupation government is planning for.
The Academy denounced in its statement the suspicious silence of the world and civil society organizations, and held the international community and the UN Security council responsible for an immediate end of the Zionist terrorism. It also called for protecting the Palestinian people and enabling them to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Academy stressed that the Muslims around the world have a close bond with Al-Aqsa Mosque, and renewed its categorical rejection of any prejudice to the rights of the Islamic nation and Muslims in it.
It warned the Zionists and those who support them of fueling the strife of religious and sectarian wars, which, if erupted, will devour everything and everybody in the region and the world.
The Academy appealed to the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to immediately do their duty in protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque against the terrorist dangers that threaten its existence, and to support the Palestinians with all necessities of life.
