Rabat (IINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) condemned the Wednesday's twin suicide attacks in Maroua, northern Cameroon, killing and wounding a number of people.
ISESCO said in a statement received by the International Islamic News Agency (IINA) that "this terrorist act which targeted innocent civilians is a heinous crime perpetrated only by criminals, who are deviants from the tolerant teachings of Islam and its noble principles, which forbid all forms of aggression on human life, money, and corruption on earth."
ISESCO called on the international community to support the efforts of countries affected by terrorism and enable them to fight and eliminate its sources.
Two girls blew themselves up at Maroua central market and the neighboring Hausa district, killing at least 11 people and wounding several others.
The Nigerian Boko Haram is suspected to be behind the bombings, as they bear the hallmarks of the extremist organization.
