Lebanese military court sentences five people to jail over terror charges

Beirut, (IINA) - Lebanon’s Military Court on Monday issued verdicts against five people convicted of terror-related charges, judicial sources told The Lebanese Daily Star.
The court sentenced Sheikh Omar Bakri Fustoq to three years in prison with hard labor after he was convicted of belonging to a terrorist group and inciting attacks against the army.
The court also sentenced Jamal Daftardar and Mohammad Bassam Hammoud, members of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Abdullah Azzam Brigades, to seven years in prison with hard labor.
Lebanese nationals Shadi Zaylaa and Hussam Sabbagh were sentenced to five years in prison with hard labor after they were convicted of belonging to a terrorist group in Iraq and attempting to carry out operations in Lebanon.
