Kuwait (IINA) – Kuwaiti Cabinet on Monday welcomed the UN Security Council resolution on Yemen adopted last Tuesday under UN Chapter VII, KUNA reported.
During its weekly meeting, the Cabinet considered the resolution, which was drafted by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States as a strong message affirming the credibility of the international community to assume its responsibility towards the legitimacy and the international peace and security.
The Cabinet reaffirmed Kuwait stance and full support to existing efforts of the GCC to support international legitimacy and maintain stability, security and peace for all peoples in the region. It also renewed the Kuwait's strong commitment to stand by the Yemeni people and its support to all efforts made by Yemen’s President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in order to preserve the country’s unity and sovereignty.
