Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian King Abdullah, here on Monday, received Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, Iraqi Vice President Osama al-Nujaifi, and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq, Petra reported.
During the meetings leaders discussed current developments in the Middle East, especially the situation in Iraq and its government's efforts to fight terrorist organizations.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan's support for the Iraqi political process, which is hoped to realize comprehensive national reconciliation and build a strong and cohesive Iraq.
In return, Iraqi officials briefed the King on the latest developments in their country and thanked the Kingdom for its support to Iraq.
From his part, Abdullah stressed Jordan's support to Iraq to maintain its security, stability and sovereignty.
