Israeli jets attack northern Gaza
Gaza City (IINA) – Two airstrikes were staged by Israeli warplanes on the northern part of the Gaza Strip late on Thursday, Anadolu Agency reported.
An eyewitness told the agency that warplanes fired two rockets on empty farmlands in northern Gaza, but the strikes caused no human casualties in the Palestinian territory. He added that the attacks only caused damage to crops in the targeted farmlands.
Meanwhile, Palestinian medical sources confirmed that the strikes did not cause any human casualties.
Soon after the strikes, the Israeli army said its warplanes had targeted sites of the Palestinian faction Hamas in northern Gaza. It added that the strikes came in response to the firing of a rocket from the enclave earlier in the day.
Israeli media reported early Thursday that a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip had fallen into southern Israel, but caused no casualties.
