Intergovernmental meeting on interreligious education kicks off in Rabat

ISESCO headquarters in Rabat, Morocco

Rabat (IINA) – The Intergovernmental meeting on Interreligious Education (IIE) kicked off in the Moroccan capital of Rabat on Monday.
The two-day event is organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
The conference has brought together under one roof policy makers from countries such as India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, the UAE, the UK and the U.S. to discuss the future of interreligious and intercultural education under the slogan “Pioneering Policy and Practice: Technology and the Future of Interreligious and Intercultural education.”
At the conclusion of the opening session, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the ISESCO and the Global e-Schools and Communities Initiative (GeSCI).
