Sunday 12 Apr 2015 - 14:32 Makkah mean time-23-6-1436  Baku, Azerbaijan (IINA) - The first Azerbaijani-German-Turkish Medical Congress on surgery, oncology and gastroenterology kicked off in Baku, AZERTAC news reported.
Co-organized by Azerbaijan National Oncology Center and Germany Azerbaijan Medical Cooperation Association, the congress brings together more than 500 Azerbaijani and foreign doctors, leading medical experts, including 8 professors from German university hospitals and 6 professors from Turkish university clinics.
Speakers at the congress hailed Azerbaijan`s accomplishments in medical field, and lauded the role of Turkish and German medical centers in improving healthcare in Azerbaijan.
German Ambassador Heidrun Tempel, professors Gurban Muslumov, Aziz Aliyev and Deniz Uyak addressed the event.
As part of the congress, Azerbaijani doctors will have trainings and master classes on laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, general surgery and radiology and endoscopic ultrasonography.
