Baku, (IINA) - Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Son on Sunday, AzerTag news agency reported.
The ambassador inspected the guard of honor and handed his credentials to President Aliyev.
President Aliyev said the high-level mutual contacts between the two countries were an indicator of dynamic and successful development of relations, and hailed the level of existing ties.
The president hoped that the activity of the ambassador would contribute to strengthening of bilateral relations.
From his part, Thanh Son said his country was keen in strengthening and further developing friendly and cooperative relations with Azerbaijan.
