Beirut (IINA) - Following successive drops in recent months, Lebanon’s gas prices rose by LL500 ($.33) Wednesday, reflecting an improvement in global oil prices in recent weeks, The Daily star news reported.

The state-run National News Agency said the cost of 20 liters of 95-octane and 98-octane gasoline was now at LL21,600 and LL22,200, respectively, an LL500 increase since the last report issued a week ago.

The price of diesel increased by LL300 to LL14,200, while a gas canister was priced at LL15,500, also an increase of LL300 from a week ago, the NNA said.

Lebanon had witnessed a general decrease in fuel prices over the past two months as a result of the sharp slide in global oil prices.
