Peshawar (IINA) – Pakistani authorities defused a bomb planted outside a primary school in northwest of the country on Friday, two months after a terrorist attack in a Peshawar school left 150 people dead.

Unidentified terrorists planted the 4 kg bomb at the main gate of a government school in Hangu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

The school was evacuated after a teacher informed the police about the bomb, Pakistani Geo News channel reported.

A bomb disposal squad successfully deactivated the bomb and school resumed classes afterwards.

Last December 16, Taliban gunmen stormed an army-run school in Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and killed 150 people, mostly school children.
