Albania celebrates 120th Independence Day

Sunday 30 Nov 2014 - 11:26 Makkah mean time-8-2-1436 Tirana (IINA)- The Republic of Albania celebrates today the 102th anniversary of the Declaration of the Independence in the city Vlora. The President Bujar Nishani along with governmental officials attended the ceremony where the Albanian flag arose by the Daniel Godelli and Romela Begaj, the weightlifting champions. Albania proclaimed independence in 1912 by Ismail Qemali, founder of the modern Albanian state and its first head of state and government.
